Luxury Mid Devon hotel scoops two awards at Taste of Exmoor
March 31, 2017, Tiverton, Devon – Hartnoll Hotel has scooped the awards for Best Dining Experience and Best Tasting Food at the Taste of Exmoor Awards 2017, part of Exmoor Food Fest.
This is the first year that the annual food festival has run the awards, which required eligible restaurants in the region to offer a one-off set menu throughout the month of February.
Hartnoll Hotel, a boutique hotel and restaurant based in Bolham, Tiverton, served a lunch menu using locally sourced produce. The menu came with the option to have two or three courses, and included produce such as mackerel, confit duck leg and sole.
Claire Carter, owner of Hartnoll Hotel, said: “We work hard to ensure all our guests have an enjoyable experience when visiting us, and both Head Chef Paul and Restaurant Manager Nelson Goncalves have done a brilliant job of creating a wonderful dining experience, serving up the best local food.
“We were competing against some fantastic regional restaurants, so it is a real achievement for the whole team here to have won these awards.”
The winners were announced during an awards ceremony, which took place on 27 March at Butlins in Minehead.
